Our Mission
The Center for World Music is a nonprofit organization whose primary purpose is to foster awareness and understanding of the world's performing arts and cultural traditions through programs of performance and teaching, including study abroad workshops. Our Vision Our vision is a healthy and enriched world celebrated through the traditional performing arts of cultures East and West. Our Values Our community programs in San Diego serve as a model for universal intercultural communication through awareness and understanding. The Center for World Music receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the California Arts Council, the County of San Diego, the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture, and the PARSA Community Foundation. Center projects have also been supported by the Asian Cultural Council and The Parker Foundation.
